Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Comprehensive examinations are performed on all ages.

- 20/20 just means that the person can clearly see a certain letter on the
standard eye chart (equivalent to what a person with normal vision should be
able to see at 20 feet). There's so much more to healthy vision than 20/20!

As primary eye care providers, our doctors of optometry is an integral part of
the health care team and an entry point into the health care system.
Optometrists are skilled in the co-management of eye health and vision care.
Therefore, our comprehensive vision exam goes beyond 20/20 to evaluate
many important structures of the eye to detect and diagnose:

  • Vision conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness,
    astigmatism and presbyopia
  • Binocular vision conditions such as convergence insufficiency, which
    can cause eye discomfort and difficulty reading
  • Eye diseases such as dry eyes, eye infections, glaucoma, cataracts
    and retinal disorders
  • Systemic diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes
